In today’s world, is it possible to do your marketing without social media?
Of course it is! Let us count the ways:
Networking
The most basic opportunity for marketing without social media is good, old fashioned networking. Get face-to-face instead of screen-to-screen. You can find networking opportunities through a variety of ways, like your local Chamber of Commerce, or a BNI chapter. Having purposeful conversations in a business setting can leave a stronger impression than a phone call or online meeting.

Old-fashioned, face-to-face networking is a great way of marketing without social media.
Professional Organizations
There are many professional organizations available to join that are industry or member specific. Alumni organizations, human resource chapters or any group that caters to a specific market of interest may be something to explore.
Becoming a board member of a non-profit can put you in proximity of your ideal client. Trade shows in industries can provide valuable new connections and potential clients. Often, you will find events and other opportunities where you can build relationships with other members.
Referrals
Referrals from existing or past clients are an excellent source of new potential business. Helping others clearly understand who you serve and the services you offer can lead to introductions. Word-of-mouth recommendations are usually powerful and pre-sell you to others. A formal referral program offering incentives or discounts can lead to even more possible business.
Collaborate
Another way to avoid social media in your marketing is to find ways to collaborate with others. Developing a joint venture with other coaches can allow you to cross market into other networks. Joining others in creating retreats or co-training events can put you in front of new people who will then have an experience of your presentation. Collaborating is an excellent way to build relationships among others.

Speaking in public can build your reputation as an expert in your field.
Public Speaking
There are many public speaking opportunities available to those who search for them. Clubs like Kiwanis or Rotary are often looking for new speakers for their meetings. Speaking on your favorite coaching topics at conferences or other events will position you as an industry expert. Grow your credibility by sharing your knowledge and attract those who are looking for you.
Many coaches struggle with marketing, especially on social media platforms. Marketing without social media can be done by careful planning and follow-up as you are out and about in your local community.
